The Current Music May 2021 is the thirtieth edition of the Current Music Competition. It takes place in the Derwent Entertainment Centre in Hobart, Australia, after Sumner's victory in the previous edition.

- The entries must be released in February or March 2021.
- The artists must have a strong connection to the country they're representing.
- Eurovision songs are not allowed.
- The maximum number of participants is 30.
- New rule: a pre-qualfication round was introduced. The top 6 users of the previous edition and the first 19 confirmed other countries will be directly qualified for the Grand Final, the rest will have to compete for the five remaining spots.
