The Current Music Competition January 2021 is the twenty-sixth edition of the Current Music Competition. It takes place in the Tórsvøllur football stadium in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands, after Turid's victory in the previous edition.

- The entries must be released in November or December 2020.
- The artists must have a strong connection to the country they're representing.
- Eurovision songs are not allowed.
- The maximum number of participants is 30.
- New rule: a pre-qualfication round was introduced. The top 6 users of the previous edition and the first 19 confirmed other countries will be directly qualified for the Grand Final, the rest will have to compete for the five remaining spots.
